The Venue

Established in 1947, Sulphur Creek Ranch has been  a longstanding "word of mouth" getaway in The Frank Church Wilderness of No Return.

The ranch is now exclusively available for groups. This unique opportunity is a perfect fit for your family reunion, corporate retreat, or simply friends and family looking to for an adventure together where they are isolated from the outside world! Our back country ranch is the ideal destination for people who want to disconnect! Finding themselves steeped in the richness of what this wilderness offers naturally. It changes daily. You will never tire of the view!  The lodge, outdoor eating, and the cabins all have a front row seat to our private air strip. The ranch is located on 80 acres of private land tucked away as it's own entity among the forest land.

The Sulphur Creek Ranch Oasis Awaits You

Fishing

Post Boundary Creek Fire of 2021, there are now many different options to fish along the banks of Sulphur Creek east of the ranch. The fires also opened up tremendous new water holes for the kids and family to enjoy on those hot summer afternoons.

Our amazing picturesque, private 3 acre lake, is crystal clear and cold as folks take a quick jump off of the dock and fish from all sides. You can watch the Cutthroat trout swim by the shores and taunt their unsuspecting predators. The pine trees surrounding the lake have been pruned and cleared for a better fly fishing opportunity.

The Middle Fork of the Salmon River is a 10 mile hike round trip for those enthusiastic hikers and fishermen.

Note that all tributaries to the Middle Fork of the Salmon River

are single barbless, no bait, catch and release.

If you can beat the kids to our floating "Tom Sawyer" raft try brushing up on your fly fishing and reel casting.

Hiking

There are plenty of trails to chose from with varying degrees of difficulty.

Trail terrain is uneven and usually wet in spots.

Hiking trails will have to be determined post Boundary Creek Fire. We will be diligently clearing this season to re-establish the main trail system.

We provide the option to pack along a lunch and a hand written map of the trail if you decide to embark on an all day journey.

Family Fun

Children thrive in this "no device" primitive environment...running through the sprinklers, the Horseshoe Pit, hydro to lake canal for duck races, the lake and old wooden raft, Sulphur Creek, and numerous fields to run wild in. Under supervision, we have a shooting range, billiards table, Birds of Prey chess set, Huge rotating Scrabble board, large cribbage board and a poker table.

The nightly bonfire comes equipped with smore's fishing rods for the roasting. There's also an replica of an old phonograph, CD, and Bluetooth enabled music system for their musical enjoyment.

Horseback Riding

Will be available again 2023
